What is Organic Wholemeal Couscous?

Peak Supps Organic Wholemeal Couscous is produced from durum wheat semolina which is moistened and spray dried into an oven. During this process, the Couscous is partially cooked under steam as it is made into small particles. It has a firm, but not touch texture and is neutral in taste.

Our Organic Wholemeal Couscous is brown in colour can be used in a variety of recipes. It is commonly used as an alternative to pasta or rice and is easy to prepare. Couscous can be used in salads, soups or as a side dish. When added to recipes, Couscous is very flexible as it absorbs the flavours from other ingredients.

Lemon Couscous Recipe:

Ingredient: 1 cup Organic Couscous, 1tbsp olive oil, juice of 1 lemon, 1tbsp chopped dill, ½tsp salt, 1½ water, black pepper to taste.

Method: Boil the water in a pan and add the couscous, 1tsp olive oil & salt. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Empty into a bowl and mix with olive oil, dill, black pepper & lemon juice. Serve & enjoy!
