Activated charcoal is a highly absorbent material (This means it binds to other materials, opposed to absorbing them). Activated charcoal has a porous surface which means it has millions of tiny pores that can capture, bind and remove unwanted materials. It also has a negative electric charge that attracts positively charged toxins and gas, that can then be carried out of the body.
Natural teeth whitener
Activated charcoal powder is also a popular natural tooth whitening powder. Users can apply a small amount of activated charcoal to their toothbrush and brush their teeth for approximately 1-2 minutes, then rinse out with water.
Activated charcoals ability to remove toxins from the body make it a great choice of supplement when you are eating food of unknown quality or consuming alcohol.

High quality activated charcoal – Sourced from coconut shells
Peak Supps activated charcoal powder is 100% sourced from coconut shells. The coconut shells go through multiple processes such as carbonization and acid washing. The acid washing is a more expensive step that removes toxic heavy metals that are often present in many forms of charcoal. This extra process results in a purer form of charcoal which will maximise its adsorption properties.
As a food supplement we recommend taking 600mg with water, 1-3 times daily. We would recommend an accurate set of scales to measure this. Best taken before and after meals.
Warning: The high adsorption of charcoal may reduce effectiveness of certain medications. If taking medication please consult your GP or Doctor before taking charcoal. Never take charcoal at the same time as medications. May cause harmless darkening of stools. At high doses, may cause constipation.
This product is 100% activated charcoal powder (sourced from coconut shells). Free from additives, sulphites, flavourings, synthetic materials.
