What are BCAA Capsules?
Peak Supps Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are split into an optimum 2:1:1 ratio (Leucine: Isoleucine: Valine). These three ingredients are all essential amino acids that the body cannot produce, this means they must be consumed through diet or supplementation.
BCAAs make up for around 35% of all muscle tissue. BCAAs are found in foods containing protein, the richest sources are found in chicken, beef, salmon, eggs and whey protein. For the body to build muscle, protein synthesis must be higher than the rate of protein breakdown. If protein breakdown is a higher rate than protein synthesis muscle loss occurs. Muscle repair = Muscle Growth.
Individuals commonly supplement with BCAAs as it can be difficult to obtain the desired levels required through diet alone. Our BCAA Capsules can be taken pre, intra & post workout as they prevent the breakdown of muscle cells and tissues, which helps prevent muscle loss.
