What is L-Citrulline?

L-Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid which can be found naturally in watermelon. The body converts L-Citrulline into the conditional amino acid L-Arginine which plays a role in protein synthesis.

L-Citrulline is also used in the production of nitric oxide which increases blood flow and when combined with exercise, this encourages muscle pump. L-Citrulline is available in various forms, the most popular being Citrulline Malate where it is bonded with the organic salt Malate.

L-Citrulline is a brilliant supplement for high intensity exercise such as weightlifting, circuits, sprints etc. L-Citrulline can be used to form a unique pre-workout and is often combined with Taurine, Arginine (AAKG) and Beta Alanine.
