What is Baobab Powder?
Baobab fruit come from the Adansonia tree and can be abundantly found in African Savannas. Inside the hard shell of the fruit there is Baobab pulp which contains antioxidants. Antioxidants can help fight free radicals and play a role in protecting DNA, proteins and lipids from oxidative stress.
Baobab is also rich in vitamins and minerals, these include Vitamin C, Potassium, Calcium & Magnesium. Baobab leaves and seeds have also been used in many recipes. Peak Supps Baobab Powder uses the pulp that is extracted from the fruit, the pulp is then milled and sieved into a powder.
Our Baobab Powder is high in fibre and has a citrusy flavour which makes it ideal for a variety of food and beverages, these include fruit salads, yoghurts, smoothies & juices.

Baobab Bites Recipe:
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon Baobab Powder, 1 tablespoon desiccated coconut, 2 tablespoon maple syrup, 100g oats, 15 dates (chopped), 1 tablespoon peanut butter, 1 tablespoon tangerine juice.
Method: Mix all of the ingredients into a food processor until it forms a dough then roll into balls. Store in a fridge in an airtight container.
*Optional: For a chocolate orange flavour, roll each ball in cacao powder.
