What is Organic Virgin Coconut Oil?
Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, also known as Cocos Nuciefera, is sourced from the Philippines where it is organically grown and hand-picked by farmers. Coconut Oil is a rich source of healthy saturated fats called triglycerides. It contains Lauric Acid, a medium-chain fatty acid which comprises nearly half of the fatty acid content in Coconut Oil.
Fresh organic coconuts are cold-pressed to make our Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. It has a mild coconut flavour which makes it a versatile ingredient for cooking, baking or frying recipes. It doesn't contain any sugar and is suitable for cooking at high temperatures.
Our bulk 10 litre tubs are ideal for bakeries, restaurants or coconut oil enthusiasts. When kept below 25°C, the oil becomes solid and can be used similarly to butter. Coconut Oil can also be used for skincare or haircare. It can be easily applied to the skin as it melts at body temperature.
