Salted Date Tahini Blondies
Let us introduce you to our new favourite recipe: Salted Date Tahini Blondie, the perfect combination of salty and sweet!
What you need:
(serves 9-12)
- 220ml of milk of choice with 1/2 tsp. baking soda.
- 150g of Medjool dates.
- 1 tsp of Vanilla extract.
- 2 eggs
- 90g of Coconut sugar.
- 90g of Tahini.
- 4 tbsp (55g) of Melted coconut oil.
- 160g of Fine oat flour.
- 25g of Ground almonds.
- Dark chocolate chips.
- 3/4 of Baking powder.
- 1/2 tsp of Baking soda.
- 3/4 tsp of Salt.
How to make:
- First, make the date paste (heat pitted chopped dates in the milk with baking soda until broken down).
- Mash with a fork or blend until smooth. Then, set it aside to cool.
- Preheat the oven to 165°C and line 8x8 in a large bowl combine the wet ( eggs, melted coconut oil, vanilla, date paste, tahini) and then whisk in the sugar.
- Add dry ingredients to this (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground almonds).
- Mix until combined.
- Transfer to the tin and top with chocolate chips.
- Bake for 24-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out almost clean (if you want it fudgier, feel free to underbake slightly).
- Let cool slightly and sprinkle flaky sea salt before slicing.
